Our Pre-Kindergarten Curriculum

Our Pre-K program is designed to ensure your child is academically ready for Kindergarten. We focus on developing early literacy, math, and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging way.

• Language and Literacy: Children work on letter recognition, phonics, and early writing skills. They also enjoy daily storytime, which helps them develop a love for reading.
• Math Skills: We introduce number recognition, counting, patterns, and basic addition and subtraction through games, puzzles, and interactive activities.
• STEM Exploration: We encourage curiosity in science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on experiments, building projects, and nature exploration.

We place a strong emphasis on helping children build social skills, understand emotions, and foster positive relationships.

• Cooperative Play: Children participate in group activities that promote teamwork, sharing, and taking turns.
• Emotional Intelligence: We help children identify their feelings, learn how to express themselves appropriately, and begin to understand the emotions of others.
• Conflict Resolution: Through guided conversations and role-playing, children learn how to resolve conflicts peacefully and respectfully, following Christian principles of forgiveness and reconciliation.

Faith is woven into every part of our Pre-K program. We teach children about God’s love, the teachings of Jesus, and the importance of Christian values like kindness, honesty, and love.

• Bible Stories: Engaging Bible lessons that introduce children to stories from both the Old and New Testaments, with an emphasis on lessons that promote understanding, faith, and trust in God.
• Chapel Time: Weekly chapel services where children sing worship songs, pray, and learn more about God’s word.
• Character Building: We focus on developing the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) by encouraging acts of kindness, respect, and service to others.

Creativity is a gift from God, and we provide numerous opportunities for children to explore and express their artistic talents.

• Art Projects: Children explore different mediums, including painting, drawing, and crafting, allowing them to express their creativity and improve fine motor skills.
• Music and Movement: Music is a vital part of our program, with children learning simple worship songs and participating in activities that promote rhythm, movement, and joy.
• Dramatic Play: Through imaginative play, children role-play and create stories, helping to develop their social skills and imagination.

A healthy body supports a healthy mind. Our program includes plenty of opportunities for children to develop their gross and fine motor skills.

• Outdoor Play: Children enjoy daily time on the playground, where they can run, climb, and explore under the supervision of our loving teachers.
• Indoor Physical Activities: Games, obstacle courses, and music-based movement activities that promote coordination, balance, and physical fitness.
• Fine Motor Skills: Activities like cutting with scissors, drawing, and using building materials help strengthen hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
